Gravity has been running team training at SnowWorld, Landgraaf, for 7 years now. It offers us the perfect summer training environment with controlled conditions and race prepared piste. Our team often trains along side World Cup athletes, and this is a great experience for our team to see some of the best skiers in the world with their own eyes. This gives a very different perspective to watching the World Cup on television. SnowWorld has over 35,000 square metres of snow at any one time, which makes it the perfect training ground.

Located in the Netherlands close to the Belgium border. SnowWorld is only 3 hours drive from Calais, and has good air and rail links and the best summer snow we could wish for!

The hotel is rated four star and based on site. There is also an ultra-modern gym and fitness studio we have access to as well as physiotherapy. The team has a ski servicing area so that we can tune our skis after training each day.

We welcome parents to accompany juniors on the camp. The facility provides a great place to relax, ski and work remotely with all rooms benefiting from internet access. Confident parents can even join in on training!

Our SnowWorld training camps offer our experienced athletes that environment they need to develop technically and tactically and for those new to race training camps an introduction to the structure and organisational skills they need to get the most from the Alpine Athlete Programme.

Each day at SnowWorld we have two 2 Hour sessions on a race lane as well as at least an hour of technical free ski on the main slope. Often our day starts very early and we are often skiing from 7am. After training in the afternoon we dry our skis off and get changed for fitness training.

Fitness training on camps have a different focus to the strength and conditioning training undertaken in the UK. In essence, we need to be fit to ski, rather that ski to get fit.

Fitness training on our camps is very much focused on physical recovery and reducing the build up of lactic acid in the body so that we are ready to train hard on snow the next morning and be able to get the most from our coaching.

The camps are tiring and the more prepared an athlete is before camp, the more they will improve and learn. Great summer skiing is only a few clicks away!
